Description and Responsibilities
Orthotic and prosthetic technicians adjust, repair and modify orthotics and prosthetics. They supervise the manufacture of such devices when medically prescribed in order to improve the functional independence of people who need them. They help with the rehabilitation of such people, in addition to helping them integrate at work and evolve personally.
Education and Training Requirements
Orthotic and prosthetic technology training programs are offered at Collège Montmorency and Collège Mérici (in French only).

- Must enjoy physical work and handling (medical) instruments
- Must love contact with the public

Work Environment
Orthotic and prosthetic technicians mainly work in rehabilitation centres (in French only).
