Description and Responsibilities
Certified medical laboratory technicians perform tests on biological samples. They ensure the technical validity of results for diagnosis, treatment monitoring or research purposes.

Education and Training Requirements
Certified medical laboratory technicians must have a college diploma (DCS) with a specialization in biomedical analysis technology . To be eligible for the job, they must hold an entry level certificate from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science .
